Family time, gigs and a beach trip- all the usual stuff happened this month. And that made it a good one!

May 1– We have old wooden pocket doors separating our living and dining room, which we haven’t pulled completely out since we moved in 26 years ago- until now! Look what we found😃 I don’t think they belonged to our kids...Lititz, PA
May 2The Cat’s Pajamas Old School Jazz Band after our Kentucky Derby Party gig for the Clark Foods Foundation at Lancaster Country Club. Lancaster, PA
May 3– The backyard snowball bush is in bloom! Lititz, PA
May 4- Got some pics back today from a Fever Pitch gig we did last month. This one is my favorite! Lititz, PA by way of Malvern, PA
May 5– A stunning spring day in Lancaster County. Roland Park, Akron, PA
May 6- “Dear Evan Hanson” was excellent! Fulton Theater, Lancaster, PA
May 7– Another Cat’s Pajamas gig! This time for the Touchstone Foundation’s Feast of the Senses. Excelsior, Lancaster, PA
After playing in the courtyard, we herd the people upstairs for the program, and kick things off with a tune.
May 8- Friends Len & Gina took us to Atlantic City for the weekend- on them!! Looks like they replanted the dune 😎 Atlantic City, NJ

It rained, so we took our chances on the indoor mini golf and it was suprisingly awesome!!
May 10– Atlantic City has the longest and first boardwalk in the US and I always wanted to walk the whole thing. It’s a 12 mile round trip- 6 each way, and goes into the town next door. Here’s what it looks like at the southern end. Atlantic City, NJ

May 11- Playing the exact same Sorry game with Mom (cropped out at her request), Dad and Tam that we played when we were growing up (minus Tam who I hadn’t met yet and plus my brother who currently lives in Myrtle Beach, SC) Lancaster, PA
May 12– Tam and Wanda on a slightly belated Mother’s Day dinner visit. New Providence, PA
May 13Cat’s Pajamas concert at Highland Presbyterian. Lancaster, PA
May 14– Put a band together for dinner jazz and dancing at a Senior Prom event at a retirement community. What a fun gig! Quarryville, PA
May 15– My favorite rock on my favorite trail in my favorite local park. Lancaster County Park, Lancaster, PA
May 16Dutchyfunk gig for the Rhubarb Festival Parade. Kitchen Kettle Village, Intercourse, PA
All the stars came out for The Rhubarb Parade!
Then off to Philly for a wedding gig…..

with the amazing Modern Luxe band.
May 17– A great day! Watching the spring dance recitals of our favorite choreographer aka daughter Ally. Sykesville, MD
Then joined Bailey and friends at their house for Bailey’s 30th birthday! 🎉😱 Lancaster, PA
May 18- Lititz is such a booming metropolis that I took this shot walking through town😂 I love it though! Lititz, PA
May 19– Dog sitting Casey aka K-Pup for friends Len & Gina. She seemed a little nervous at first. Lititz, PA
May 20– Then she remembered what she loves best about staying with us- sunning herself in the yard- look at that smile!😍 Lititz, Pa
May 21– Beth and Tom of Fever Pitch chatting it up on the porch before our gig for the Samaritan Center Gala. Lancaster, PA
May 22– Three gigs today but only 1 last minute pic!😱 This is Bailey Fulginiti Quintet (minus the bass player who left already) after a super breezy, unusually-cool-for-May jazz set at Kitchen Kettle Village, Intercourse, PA

May 23– Didn’t get a pic of the day’s highlight, which was a game session with Bailey, Tom and his family. So, please enjoy this pic of me walking Casey in the rain. Lititz, PA

May 25– It did not rain during the parade, but it did rain while we were forming up so we got wet anyway. With Bravura Brass and my “famous” red pocket trumpet. 😁 Shillington, PA

May 26- back at Highland Prez rehearsing The Armed Man (note- I was the conductor’s music teacher when he was in elementary school!). Lancaster, PA
May 27– A snippet of The Armed Man concert. The Highland Choir did a great job! Lancaster, PA
May 28– The calm half hour I spent at the park balanced out the rest of the day, which was nuts! Lancaster County Park, Lancaster, PA
May 29– I did not meet Vanna White at Hollywood Casino with Dad, but I did win enough on this type of Wheel of Fortune machine to break even after an otherwise tough day. Grantville, PA (stock photo)
May 30– Outside- beautiful grass tennis courts on the campus of the Philadelphia Cricket Club. Philadelphia, PA
Inside- a wedding gig with the super outstanding Modern Luxe band.
May 31– The first swim of the season at Tam’s parents was a cold one 🥶 but still good! New Providence, PA
