Not that I ever thought I had a shot at perfect parenting- it’s tough! Some parenting mistakes are realized right away, but it’s the ones you don’t know about until later that really feel bad.
I recently discovered one of these long, lost parenting mishaps while out to dinner with my daughter a few weeks ago. At the time I thought I was doing a good job of handling the situation, but as I learned last month, I had several things wrong. My daughter is over the whole thing, but to me it’s a brand new situation and I feel bad about it.
The full story is the subject of my post this week at Wise & Shine Magazine. I hope you’ll consider reading it. You’ll either be able to relate to it, or you’ll have good reason to feel superior to me as a parent. Either way, you’ll gain something positive!

What a great story Todd. I used to think of parenting as the adults being in charge, now I’m more convinced than ever before that it’s a learning experience for everyone involved. Ha, ha. Thanks so much for sharing.
