Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Leo DiSanto is one of the Lancaster, PA area’s most prominent performers. He also does quite a bit of traveling and adventure-seeking with his dog and his guitar. Look him up on the socials if you want to see what he’s up to besides what’s highlighted here.

I’m Not Sad is Leo’s newest album and it’s a good one at that. I won’t bother trying to cite all the musicians he might note as influences, instead I’ll just say “listen to the record”. It’s full of stories and sounds that sound somehow American.

I chose this tune because I played trumpet on it, and my good friend Brandon Hollinger (sax player for Chubby Checker) layed down some nice clarinet too. Cover art is a paper collage done by Lancaster’s own Dan Zdilla, who himself is a damn good musician in his own right.
