January 1 is New Year’s Day, but it’s also the 8th day of Christmas, and if you’re still in the mood to hear holiday tunes- I have some good news for you. After a lengthy and unexpected distributing delay, the second full album of Holiday Horns brass duets is now available for streaming/listening on all major platforms.
The new album is called Season’s Greetings, and it consists of 8 tracks, with each track being a medley of various holiday tunes. I arranged them myself and although the recording is of myself on flugelhorn and Jill Graybill on French horn, the duets are written to be playable by most combinations of 2 brass instruments.
At this point, nearly all of the 100+ Christmas season Holiday Horns duets have been released, along with an EP of Halloween duets, and 3 singles of patriotic duets.
For the backstory on how this whole brass duo thing got started, read this.
Come on- don’t stop celebrating Christmas early! There are still a few days left- plenty of time to listen to these new duets. I know I’ve been saying this for a while now, but I really am planning to have these all available in sheet music form by the end of this new year.
In the meantime- please enjoy Season’s Greeting, a new album by Holiday Horns.
