June was awesome! We did a 2 week road trip, started another week at the beach with family, I had a bunch of nice gigs and still managed to not leave my house for 3 consecutive days. The lead pic for this post is from our visit to Memphis.

June 1– supporting our favorite choreographer at her student’s dance
recital. Eldersburg, MD
My gig with Mama Tried was literally on the way home.York, PA
June 2– Costco. 😁. Lancaster, PA
June 3– My new favorite place to hang out. Previously Bailey’s room, now
known as The Lounge. Lititz, PA
June 4- I had 2 dreams about my old elementary school this past week, so I followed the vibe, went back and explored our old play area. Hamilton Elementary, Lancaster, PA
Behind the school is the big hill that leads to the woods, which was like a magic world we roamed freely around as kids. It was awesome!
Sadly, half of those magical woods are now a housing development/neighborhood, but this wooden entrance way marks exactly where the main entrance trail to the woods began. Call me crazy, but I don’t think it’s meaningless that the entrance way is still up (it was built many years after my time in the woods).
June 5- Came home loser from Hollywood Casino with Dad, but hit a small jackpot with some evening time at Long’s Park. Lancaster, PA
June 6-this was the singing-est wedding crowd ever. Also, this photo is more proof that people my age cannot take good selfies. 😅 Winterthur, DE
June 7– Ally came home for the night with Willow, and as usual, we ended up on the kitchen floor telling stories. Lititz, PA
June 8– Ally; ready for her bridal shower! Lititz, PA
I stayed home with Willow.
But I got these pics…
June 9– our Funktion band leader asked AI to create a graphic of the band based on this pic, which shows us as intergalactic super heroes. Internet
And here we are! 😂😂 I’m the bald, muscular guy front and center😂
June 10– Road Trip 2025 begins! Day 1 was a stop at The Columbus Zoo. Columbus OH. For full road trip pics- see this post.
June 11– King’s Island Amusement Park near Cincinnati OH
June 12– National Sign Museum, Cincinnati OH
June 13- On a whim, we decided to attend a Savannah Banana’s trick baseball game. It was great! Cincinnati OH
June 14– Hitting the clubs on famous Beale Street in Memphis, TN
June 15– toured the famous Sun Records studio in Memphis, TN. For full Road Trip photos- see this post.
June 16– we couldn’t visit Memphis without stopping at the its most famous spot- Elvis Presley’s Graceland. For more – check out this Road Trip post.
June 17– So much great music was created in this spot!! Memphis, TN
June 18- The Arcade Diner has been operating since 1919 and has probably served all of Memphis’s long list of residents at one time or another. Memphis, TN
June 19– and just like that – it’s back to my home Lancaster County for gig, mostly for tourists. Bird In Hand, PA
Well, things didn’t actually go that smooth getting home- full details here.
June 20– I should remember to allow myself a day or two to get back into things after a vacation. Instead, I played 3 gigs within the first 24 hours. This one is with Funktion at Hollywood Casino York PA
June 21– wedding gig with Modern Luxe at the beautiful Longwood Gardens. Look out the window- they’re doing a fountain show coordinated to music (not ours) and yes- they are lighting the tops of the water spouts on fire. It’s amazing! Kennett Square, PA
June 22- Kayaking at Speedwell Forge with neighbor friend Harold. We saw a deer family cross the water in front of us, along with a bunch of other cool wildlife. Lititz, PA
And later that day- game night at our house with Bailey, future son in law Tom, and his parents.
June 23-After a day of errands, I realized it was time to hibernate in the living room. I’m totally beat and it’s way too hot outside to have any fun right now. Lititz, PA
June 24– Day 3 of the heatwave, Day 2 of my self imposed hibernation.
June 25- come on rain- cool us off! 🥵 Lititz, PA
June 26- Cats at The Fulton Theater was very cool! Lancaster, PA
June 27- Back at The Waterworks for another wedding with Modern Luxe. Philadelphia, PA
June 28– I love old community band shells like this one, but the covering they built over the audience made the hot and humid conditions even worse for our concert with Mission Impossible 🥵 Kutztown, PA

June 29– “Watch the tram car please”- the official mode of transportation at The Wildwoods. Also- happy 34th Anniversary to Tam and I😁. Wildwood, NJ
June 30– Ally and Tam at the Northern end of the boardwalk. Wildwood, NJ
