Reposting this from a few days ago because of an apparent WordPress screw-up that removed it from the feed.

For those new (or should I say neu) to the Jimmy Schnitzel experience, that’s the name I would go by when making up goofy little songs to entertain my kids as they were growing up. Now that they’re all grown up and out of the house, I’ve been finding it amusing to beef these nonsense tunes up a bit with fancier arrangements. And, because releasing music digitally is so easy these days, I put them out on the streaming services in case there’s anybody else out there who shares my sense of humor.

And from that, comes Jimmy Schnitzel’s new release, originally created to celebrate the joy of having both bagels and cream cheese in the house at the same time. Purists will say that cream cheese and neufchâtel are not the same thing- but Jimmy Schnitzel is no purist so he doesn’t care.

Just grab a bagel, slap on some Neufchatel, and hit the dance floor with Jimmy’s tasty new jam.*

*the word “jam” is used here to describe a musical track, not the fruit flavored food item sometimes spread on bagels. Please note that jam, as a food substance, should only be used on bagels in the absence of neufchâtel.
