January was pretty chill- literally and otherwise. But it’s good because I love both the snowy, cold weather and the downtime. I was even lucky enough to hit the sledding hill 3 times! πŸ›· It’s a much more fun way to exercise than going to the gym.

January 1– Woke up on New Year’s Day with Ally’s dog Willow in my face.
January 2– Not much happening in the neighborhood.
January 3– weekly visit to this Lancaster County treasure. Sauerkraut is a big New Year’s Day tradition here in Lancaster County, but apparently supply exceeded demand this year.
January 4– Epiphany Brass prelude to Friday Night Compline service at Saint James Episcopal, Lancaster. That’s me in back on the left.
January 5– incoming high winds caused us to take down my beloved blow mold lights a day early.
January 6– Our backyard holly tree. That windy storm also brought snow! 😍
January 7– fake heart attack pic I sent to daughter Bailey, caused by fake shock after being informed that she was running late for our visit.
January 9– The Pennsylvania Farm Show’s famous annual butter sculpture. Harrisburg PA
More Farm Show- raising cows must be lots of work but this part looks fun!
Still Farm Show- goats are the best domestic animal- possibly the best overall 🀩
January 10- Drove home from the gig in a beautiful late night snow. Look at the rabbit tracks in the street.
January 11– I love a snowy winter!
January 12– NFL Playoff baby! Go Birds! New Providence, PA
Still Jan 12- my in-laws place always has nice skies. New Providence, PA
January 13– I almost forgot about this gig. Good thing I saw it advertised on Facebook the day before πŸ˜…
January 14– Mardi Gras music with my Cat’s Pajamas Old School Jazz Band group for a corporate party. Lancaster, PA BTW- we have an album you can stream– add us to your libray/playlists!
January 15– Dad and I finished putting up the mini-library. Mostly Dad did it -my contribution was pretty small.
January 16– just another beautiful, cold, winter night at home.
January 17- corporate gig with Modern Luxe at Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, NJ
Jan. 17 Pre-show stage set.
January 18– visiting daughter Bailey, Tom and these two pups- Bennie (front) & Gigi (back). Lancaster, PA
January 19- more snow! 🀩 Had to get a walk in with Tammy before the NFL games started. Go Birds!
January 20– Lititz Springs Park, 2 blocks from my house.
January 21– night walk through Lititz and the Butterfly Acres water restoration project.
January 22– back at the sledding hill. I had a great time- not sure why I look so mad. πŸ˜„
January 23– delivering a check for over $4,000 to Dave Costarella and Hand Up Partners for their work with Lancaster’s homeless. The funds were raised by Fulginiti Family with this past season’s holiday single.
January 24– sledding with daughter Ally and future-son-in-law Alec at Akron hill.
Jan 24- a view from the top of the hill. Those 2 specs are Ally and I.
January 24– post sledding jazz/dinner gig at The Belvedere Inn, Lancaster PA
January 25– listening to Harrisburg Symphony’s all-Shostakovich concert at Harrisburg’s outstanding venue- The Forum.
January 26– The NFC Championship game was tense for a bit- but in the end it was a blowout! E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!
January 27– walking Ally’s dog Willow past the historic Linden Hall school in Lititz. Willow wasn’t interested in posing for the pic.
January 28- delivered Willow back to her parents. Towson, MD
Jan 28- left Towson, took a voice lesson with Bailey, and blew a tire on the way to the gym. Also needed a jump start because the 4 way flashers wore the battery down as I waited for AAA to arrive. Also- the battery is under the back passenger seat- and I was hauling a full load of Ally’s Christmas decorations in the back seat πŸ˜’
Jan-29 Lost too much money at the casino with Dad, but earned it back at this really fun house party jazz gig in Lancaster. This guy is a music/jazz mega fan- look at the decor!
Jan 29- band pic
January 30- A rare sight! Snow on the Rehoboth Beach (DE) Boardwalk to start our annual Winter Beach Weekend.
