It’s only the second installment of this experiment but so far I like doing these monthly photo journals. It’s a good way to reflect on the past month and be thankful for the people and experiences that makes life what it is.

My self-imposed rules are: 1 pic per day (I may break that rule this month), no skipping a day if a picture of it exists, no editing other than maybe a crop here or there.

Oct 1: Tried my hand at filming filed hockey for LCTV 66, Lancaster’s community TV station.
Oct 2: Lost a bet but discovered great chicken and got to visit daughter

Oct 4: Gig at The Belvedere Inn in Lancaster and their cool purple bar
Oct 5: Jazz gig with Prime Example at Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, PA aka Amish Country
Oct 6: Guess who’s excited to join the Zoom meeting he forgot 😁
Oct 7: Brother Jason came home from South Carolina so Dad and us hit the casino, then dinner.

Oct 9: Dog sitting with CaseyPup the sun lover!
Oct 10: Back at Kitchen Kettle Village with Hickory Town aka daughter Bailey & soon-to-be-son-in-law Tom.
Oct 11: Outstanding Halloween decor at Spring House in Lancaster, PA
Oct 12: Beach weekend with Mom, Dad & Tammy in Ocean City, NJ
Oct 13: Mom insisted Tam and I pose for this pic, which I usually think is cliche and cheesy, but I admit it turned out nice.
Oct 15: Still hosting CaseyPup; still loving the sun.
Oct 18: The hora is no joke! These people went all in. Wedding gig with Modern Lux near Philly.
Oct 19: This proud voice teacher held her first student recital and they all did well! Good job Bailey!
Oct 20: Discovered this bench walking through my hometown of Lititz, PA. Haywood was a special guy everybody around town knew. I’ll blog about him soon.
Oct 21: The Happy Wanderers had a beautiful afternoon at Cassel Vineyards near Hershey, PA.
Oct 22: Delivering these gifts to booking agencies around Harrisburg, Lancaster & Philly to introduce my new wedding/event band- Fever Pitch.
Oct 23: Ready for a beer of my own after a full day of Oktoberfest gigs with The Happy Wanderers 🍻
Oct 24: Halloween decor part 2- the Skeltons talk and play dueling banjos!
Oct 25: I hope we can still be friends if you disagree.
Oct 26: Chloe the neighbor kid is now 30 and lives in New Zealand but was home to celebrate her birthday, her dad’s birthday and her sisters wedding- all at the same party! Sadly I didn’t get pics of the other VIPs but it was so fun having our whole neighborhood crew together again!
Oct 26: I know- I broke my own single pic rule. But- I really enjoyed playing that neighbor party, especially with Dave Winter (more on him later).
Oct 27: Rail Cycle with Mom & Dad near York, PA. Really fun and sweet scenery!🍁
Oct 28: Remember Dave the piano player? This is part of the 200 year old tree that fell down on his driveway. Dave says it will take months to clear away but I enjoyed the old school workout of hauling and chopping wood for a few hours.🪓
Oct 29: Apparently I should not have parked in the same lot the church-goers park in. They were at Mass, I was parked in for an hour after the gig.
Oct 30: Day trip to DC to hear Katty Kay & Anthony Scaramucci talk election politics on The Rest Is Politics US.
Oct 31: Trick or Treat!
