I’ve reposted this a few times over the years, usually on or near Election Day. It reminds me of what a good bunch of public servants we had (and still have) in the small town where I live. I’m sure it’s the same way in thousands of municipalities across the country.

But now I look at that last paragraph and I can’t agree anymore with how I felt back then in 2009, at least not on a state or national level. We’ve come such a long way apart from each other and, although we need to keep trying, I’m not hopeful that we can repair ourselves enough to repair the situation we’ve all created.

But, as Election Day was yesterday, linked below are my thoughts on what it was like to experience a small town borough council election back in 2009.
