Halloween has some of the best music of all the holidays! And ever since I began writing brass duets for the Holiday Horns, my partner Jill Graybill and I have speculated about what a Holiday Horns Halloween book would sound like.
Well, this year we found out! I recently arranged a set of 13, short, Halloween brass duets- playable by most combinations of any 2 brass instruments. We recorded them a few weeks ago at Parallel Productions near Lancaster, PA, and today they are available to hear on all streaming platforms.
The idea with recording the duets is really just to have demos of what the arrangements sound like. I’m planning to publish the sheet music to these and all the other Holiday Horns material soon- they’re fun to play and can be used for teaching, professional play, or just for fun.
The thirteen songs in the Halloween book have been combined into a 3 track EP. Hopefully the tunes will all sound familiar to you. Here they are- click the titles or photos to listen!
1-Halloween Party

2-Spooky Tunes

3- Creepy Classical Classics

For the full backstory on the Holiday Horns and for more information on the other brass duo’s I’ve arranged, read this article.
In the meantime, check out our Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Patriotic arrangements wherever you stream music.
Happy Halloween! 🎃

I have a tough enough time with scary horror movies. I would get scared of my own shadow! Yikes . . . Now you’re bringing the scary tunes. Ha, ha. I do like the Adams Family Theme song though. Love the kooky, mysterious and spooky element. Ha, ha. Very cool tunes.

Haha thanks Brian! I am not into the Horror stuff where people are getting hacked up and chainsawed to death – but I do like the goofy semi creepy Halloween stuff🎃

Yea, the goofy stuff, I’m okay with, the chainsaw ones, “um, where’s the exit.” Ha, ha.
