There’s so much good music happening in my hometown of Lancaster, PA. As a musician myself, it sure makes life more interesting when our local music scene can boast excellence from rock bands to classical orchestras and everything in between.

One of my favorite local songwriters is Leo DiSanto, who just released a new album this month. Leo’s music brings a heavy dose of folk and country, but offers a wide variety of styles, each complementing the stories the music tells.

I had the pleasure of playing trumpet on 4 tracks of Leo’s new release, “To Fly So Low”, and although I like them all, the one below is my favorite.

It features several members of my Cat’s Pajamas Old School Jazz Band bringing a New Orleans/traditional jazz flavor. I think it came out really well!

Check out the full album wherever you stream music. Or you can visit Leo’s website to see when vinyl records and CD’s will be available.
