Last month I admitted to having created a ridiculous musical alter ego named Jimmy Schnitzel, whose goal was to make up goofy songs to amuse my kids when they were growing up. We had a good time with the down right stupid tunes, and many of them survive in our family to this day. For some reason (curiosity, self-amusement) I decided to release a few of these to the wild and see if anybody else shares my juvenile sense of humor.

A few readers apparently are afflicted with my tastes because they asked if there was any more Schnitzel material to hear. For better or worse, there is another track out there, but I warn you again- it is DUMB! 😅

But it’s also one of the few Thanksgiving songs I’m aware of. SO, at the risk of totally embarrassing myself in public….

Here is Eat Yer Turkey- an imaginary Thanksgiving scene between a whiny kid and a grumpy dad. You may lose a few brain cells listening to it; do so at your own risk.

A Hater’s Thanksgiving

And if I haven’t totally outed myself as a complete fool, I do have another piece of Thanksgiving material to share. It’s a blog I posted at Wise & Shine last year; my take on things I am thankful for. Don’t worry- it’s not one of those sappy, tear-jerking things. It’s genuine and heartfelt, just a little too negative and sarcastic for some peoples tastes.

If you’re down with it- you can read it here.

Happy Thanksgiving! And may you have all the turkey or pizza you desire.
