Are you aware of what’s now?

Too often we focus instead on “what’s next?” But life happens first and best in the now.

What’s around you? What are you doing? With who? What do you feel, smell, see, hear and taste?

Sometimes the best way to contemplate these questions is to do less. Slow down and look around.  Notice and take stock.  Clear your mind and let “what’s now” take over.

What’s now eases stress, builds gratitude, and deepens experiences.  It makes life more meaningful and more enjoyable.

What’s now is the good stuff happening all around us.  We need only to allow ourselves to take notice and engage with it.

The video below is called Steward’s Tree.  Stay with it for a few minutes.  Then, with your own eyes as the camera, see what’s now wherever you happen to be.

Look again tomorrow.  And the next day.  And every day.

Life often pushes us to look ahead at what’s next. But in doing so, we may be robbing ourselves of something more important- what’s now?
